October 2 Martha Myers The Ministry of Dog Rescue Our ministries are rich and varied. For Martha it’s been dog rescue for the past 17 years. She’ll share her calling, it’s highs and lows, and bring a “special” guest with her.
October 9 Elizabeth Esser, Brinn McNutt, & Sydney Schaper J2A Pilgrimage Presentation St. Mark’s Journey to Adulthood group reports on their June pilgrimage to Costa Rica, which was spent at the Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary, which cares for endangered species and exotic pets that have been abused.
October 16 Jim Jacobs TED Talk on Religion and Spirituality Our life experiences shape our faith and belief in God. As you have grown in faith, how has your belief in God changed? We’ll view a TED Talk and discuss this topic.
October 23 Jim Jacobs TED Talk on Religion and Spirituality What would our lives be like if we followed some of the hundreds of laws of the Bible literally? This TED Talk is both informative and humorous. A discussion will follow which may also prove to be humorous.
October 30 Canon Rhonda Lee & Catherine Massey Non-Violent Communication: A refresher Communication lies at the heart of the growth and success of a faith community. Come and refresh the skills we learned for non-violent communication as used during the Mennonite Peace Process.

December 4 David Carter Advent Bible Study Using the Old Testament readings assigned for Advent as well as readings provided by the facilitator, this will be an opportunity for thoughtful reflection upon “the reason for the season.”
