St. Mark’s starts a new era with two big events this week

Candlelight dinner Friday

This Friday, Nov. 10, at 6:30 pm we gather in our Centrum for a candlelit dinner prepared by Bella Monica Italian restaurant. A jazz trio from the Casablanca Orchestra will perform. The keynote address is by our rector, the Rev. Tyrone Fowlkes.

Let’s gather to give thanks and to celebrate the many gifts and talents that make us at St. Mark’s who we are. The W e Respond campaign is consistent with the energy and excitement of having a new rector, and starting a new chapter in the life of St Mark’s. Bella Monica will provide gluten-free, corn-free, dairy-free, and vegan options. Bring a beverage of your choice. Coffee, tea and water will be provided. Child care will be provided starting at 6 pm. Children will be fed first.

Carpools are being coordinated by Margaret Thurston for those who prefer to not drive:  Margaret.b.thurston@gmail.com

Annual Meeting Sunday

On Sunday, Nov. 12, we will have a combined service at 9:30 am followed by the parish Annual Meeting where you will hear reports of where we’ve been this year, where we stand, and where we are headed. We will also elect four Vestry members. Lunch will follow.

There will be no Sunday School classes today, but child care will be provided from 9:15 am to noon.
