Several members of St Mark’s attend the meetings and activities of Congregations for Social Justice. It is a great organization that works to address issues such as affordable housing and re-entry programs for men and women being released from prison. You are invited to the annual dinner for CSJ; please read the notice below.
They prefer that we make one reservation for each faith community, so if you are interested in attending, please let me know no later than noon Jan. 26 and I will send in our list. The cost is $12 per person and is paid at the door.

Congregations for Social Justice annual meeting is 6 pm Monday, Feb. 6, at Highland United Methodist Church’s Bradley Hall, 1901 Ridge Road, Raleigh 27607.
Guest speaker is W. David Guice, commissioner of adult correction and juvenile justice, North Carolina Department of Public Safety. He will speak on methods to assure success for prisoners re-entering society.
